Compassion 479 (formerly Compassion NWA) is a separate 501 c3 non-profit organization birthed from Cross Church to serve community needs. The organization’s primary focus is Feed 479, and in 2023 more than 229,000 people were served 3.5 million pounds of groceries equating to excess of 2.5 million meals.
The organization is funded from a thrift store located at 3157 Sunset Avenue in Springdale, open six days a week from 9am-6pm. The 10,000 sq. ft. showroom provides Northwest Arkansas with clean, gently used apparel, accessories, home décor, and furniture providing resources for feeding the food insecure.
